HDI Global has appointed Simon Hunt, its current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for HDI Global UK & Ireland, as interim Chief Executive Officer, while Ger Twomey will serve as interim CFO.
The two appointments are effective February 1st, 2026 and subject to regulatory approvals. These follow the departure of Stephanie Ogden, CEO of HDI Global UK & Ireland, effective January 31st, 2026, to pursue new opportunities beyond HDI Global.
The company thanks Stephanie for her outstanding contribution in shaping the UK & Ireland business and its leadership team, ensuring broker partners and clients remain at the heart of a cohesive business proposition. The company wishes her every success in the future.
Hunt brings extensive financial expertise and proven leadership across insurance operations, having joined HDI Global in 2019.
At the firm, he has worked across Corporate and Specialty and previously ensured continuity as Managing Director during Stephanie Ogden’s maternity leave. In the new role, Ger Twomey will be responsible for Finance and Risk.
