Aspen Insurance Group, a specialty insurer and reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Lee Elliston as Chief Operating Officer, Claims & UK.
Elliston joined Aspen in January 2022 and has served as Chief Operating Officer, Group Claims since January 2023. He will continue in this role while also assuming responsibility for UK operations and services, supporting the operational execution of both the Group and UK strategies.
Prior to joining Aspen, Elliston spent over eight years at the Lloyd’s Market Association, most recently as Claims Director – Head of Claims Operations and Delegated Authorities.
In that role, he led claims strategy and programme delivery, including operations and delegated authorities, while supporting the Lloyd’s market and claims community in achieving their technical, operational, and technology-related goals.
Earlier in his career, Elliston held various roles at Catlin, Willis Re, and Marsh.
