Protecdiv adds David Castillo as EVP, Head of Construction and Surety Solutions

Insurance and reinsurance broker Protecdiv has appointed David Castillo to the newly created role of Executive Vice President (EVP) and National Construction Practice Leader.

In the role, Castillo will lead the strategic growth and development of the broker’s construction and surety business.

The appointment aligns with Protecdiv’s larger plans to expand its construction and surety capabilities.

Castillo has over 30 years of expertise in the segment and has developed, managed complex surety programs for clients across industries. In the past, he held senior positions at major brokers, including USI Insurance Services, Marsh, and Willis.

He served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Gray Casualty & Surety Company, successfully leading the company’s national expansion efforts, to move from a regional player to a nationwide surety firm.
