Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS), an independent insurance company manager, has announced the appointment of Sandy Bigglestone as Managing Director/Chief Governance, Regulatory & Compliance Officer (CGRCO), effective January 2026.
In her new role, Bigglestone will provide firm-wide leadership and guidance to ensure clients have best-in-class governance procedures and remain compliant with regulations affecting captive owners across various jurisdictions.
She will also be closely involved in the recently announced specialised initiative, SRS Titanium, supporting the delivery of captive insurance management and consulting solutions for Fortune 500 and other global organisations where governance and regulatory compliance are increasingly important issues for owners.
At SRS, Bigglestone will leverage her regulatory and compliance expertise to help manage the increasing demands being placed on captive owners by various governmental agencies.
She has spent the past 29 years at the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, most recently serving as Deputy Commissioner of the Captive Insurance Division.
During her tenure, Bigglestone has been a key contributor in establishing Vermont as the gold standard for captive insurance regulation in the US. She has also been actively involved with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and other industry bodies in promoting appropriate regulation of captives and other insurance entities.
