Sompo, a provider of commercial and consumer property and casualty re/insurance, has announced the appointment of Alessandrea Quane as Chief Executive Officer, International Markets.
In this role, Quane will report to James Shea, CEO of Sompo P&C, and will oversee Sompo’s Commercial and Consumer Insurance operations outside of North America and Japan.
Regional management in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe (including Turkey), Brazil, and Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) will report directly to her.
Quane brings more than three decades of industry experience. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Insurance Officer at Oscar Health and was an Independent Director on the board of AXA XL Bermuda, Ltd.
Before that, Quane spent 25 years at AIG, most recently as EVP and Chief Risk Officer. She began her career as an actuary at Allstate Insurance.
