Global reinsurance broker and advisory firm Gallagher Re supported OAK Global\u2019s inaugural entry into the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market via Arthur Re Ltd., its Bermuda-based platform, which is designed to streamline the issuance of index catastrophe bonds by reducing both cost and time to market.<\/p>\n

\"gallagher-re-logo\"OAK Global, a global risk partner underwriting through two dedicated syndicates at Lloyd\u2019s, recently sponsored its debut catastrophe bond through an upsized $150 million Quercian Re 2026-1 issuance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Quercian Re 2026-1 notes provide three-year, annual aggregate protection against US and Canada named storms, earthquakes, and US wildfire events.<\/p>\n

The transaction provides fully collateralised retrocessional reinsurance protection to OAK Reinsurance Syndicate 2843 at Lloyd\u2019s, strengthening its underwriting portfolio with diversified capital markets capacity.<\/p>\n

The deal was executed through Arthur Re, a Bermuda-based segregated accounts company designed to simplify and improve the efficiency of index-triggered catastrophe bond issuance for sponsors, reducing both time to market and transaction costs.<\/p>\n
