US domiciled parametric insurer and reinsurer, NormanMax Insurance Holdings, has appointed Nick Burkinshaw as Chairman of the NormanMax Syndicate 3939 Advisory Board, supporting the firm’s pure parametric global syndicate at the specialist Lloyd’s marketplace.<\/p>\n

\"\"Burkinshaw is a highly respected underwriting leader in the market, and brings over 30 years of global insurance market experience to the role. During his career, Burkinshaw served as Active Underwriter of Catlin Syndicate 2003 at Lloyd\u2019s, and later assumed the position of Chief Underwriting Officer of Apollo Syndicate Management.<\/p>\n

The company states that the NormanMax Syndicate 3939 Advisory Board was established to support the ongoing development and expansion of its parametric underwriting strategy. The Board will be expected to provide guidance on underwriting discipline, capital efficiency, portfolio management, and long-term performance as the syndicate grows its footprint around the world.<\/p>\n

NormanMax adds that the creation of the Advisory Board and the appointment of Burkinshaw as its Chairman, is a reflection of its “commitment to combining innovation with proven underwriting expertise as it continues to expand its presence across global insurance markets.”<\/p>\n
