Zurich Insurance has launched operations in the Polish commercial insurance market, with its new office based in Warsaw. The business will be managed under Zurich Austria, headed by Kurt M\u00f6ller, who serves as Head of Commercial Insurance Austria & CEE and sits on the Zurich Austria Board.<\/p>\n

Zurich explained that it will be working closely together with Polish insurance brokers and operate as an insurer, co-insurer and reinsurer.<\/p>\n

Luciano Cirin\u00e0, CEO Commercial Insurance International at Zurich Insurance, added that the firm’s entry into the commercial insurance business in Poland marks another strategic milestone.<\/p>\n

Cirin\u00e0 continued, “Poland, as one of the largest economies in Europe with a dynamically growing corporate sector, offers excellent opportunities. With our international expertise and many years of experience, we are creating real added value for Polish companies.”<\/p>\n

Rafa\u0142 Tokarz, who holds over 30 years of industry experience, has been appointed Head of Zurich Austria\u2019s branch in Poland.<\/p>\n

Tokarz said, \u201cI\u2019m excited that Zurich has taken a bold step to enter the Polish market. Zurich is a carrier with genuine commercial insurance expertise, as well as a track record of delivering tailored program solutions on a global scale.<\/p>\n

“Together with our highly qualified and experienced team \u2013 including underwriters, risk engineers and claims handlers \u2013 we will bring this proficiency and capability to the market.<\/p>\n

“Quality matters, and corporate clients and brokers in Poland deserve access to the same solutions available to their international counterparts, enabling them to realise their growth potential and expand beyond the domestic market.\u201d<\/p>\n
