Acrisure UK Broking has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of four businesses: London-based managing general agent Confidas, alongside established brokers Heathwoods Insurance & Financial Services, Marrs Insurance Brokers and Smith Greenfield Services.
According to Acrisure, the firms hold decades of collective specialist expertise, long‑standing client relationships and strong reputations within their respective markets in commercial lines, construction and property, high-net-worth and heritage insurance.
As part of the integration, Acrisure has announced key leadership appointments to strengthen its specialist capabilities.
Mark Eckstein, a figure in the property and construction sector from Heathwoods’ North London office, will take on the role of Director of Real Estate within Acrisure UK Broking.
Meanwhile, Steve Smith, leading Smith Greenfield, will become Head of Private Clients. He brings an established high-net-worth personal lines practice covering high-value homes, fine art, private collections, and bespoke liability solutions.
Confidas, the MGA operated under Smith Greenfield, will continue to provide innovative portfolio products tailored to specialist client needs.
As mentioned, Marrs Insurance Brokers, previously a member of Acrisure’s Appointed Representative network, Eleven, has now formally joined the group.
This step reportedly reflects the strong partnership built between Marrs, its Managing Director Mark Coffer, and the wider Acrisure platform in the UK.
Mark McIlquham, CEO of Acrisure UK, commented, “We are delighted to welcome new colleagues from Heathwoods, Smith Greenfield, Confidas and Marrs to the Acrisure family and platform. Each of these firms has built something genuinely impressive that will enhance our platform, including trusted client relationships, talented people and a commitment to doing the right thing.
“This alignment is exactly what we look for in our long‑term partners, so we can grow together. The acquisitions mark a significant step in our expansion this year as we consolidate our position as a leading force in the UK insurance market.”
