Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Henrik Hoppendorff as Senior Facultative Broker, EMEA.
Based in Stockholm, Hoppendorff will be working within the Nordic team, but also serving the broader EMEA region.
His 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, specialising in property with Continental Europe and London markets, has provided him with a breadth of experience across various industry sectors.
The executive is joining Gallagher Re from United Insurance Brokers (UIB), where he most recently served as Divisional Director, Head of International D&F Property, a role he held for two years.
Before joining UIB, Hoppendorff worked as a Team Leader of Central Europe, Middle East, Africa at Global Broking Centre at Aon, where he was responsible for placing EMEA-domiciled accounts in the London Market.
Prior to joining Aon, he worked as a Vice President at Marsh, where he served as Property Placement Broker in the London Market for FTSE 250 companies. Through his career the executive has also held roles at companies like XL Catlin and AIG.
